* Important Notice: During the 2010 Olympics and the preparation time beforehand there will be no vehicle access to Hastings Park. Please take public transit and walk in via Renfrew & Pandora; Hastings & Renfrew or Hastings and Lillooet. At other times there is free parking for the Sanctuary on site.
Meet us at the north-east corner of the Sanctuary for a free walk that will last about two hours, rain or shine!
115 species of birds have been identified in this peaceful urban wilderness since it was restored ten years ago. Learn about birds, plants, trees, flowers, aquatic life and more. We want you to share our amazing eastside secret.
Bring binoculars if you have them, but please leave your dogs at home. There is free parking on site for visitors to the Sanctuary, or take the bus to Hastings and Renfrew Streets.
These informative walks are hosted by local naturalists. Over 100 species of birds have been identified in this urban wilderness since it was restored only eight years ago (See Bird List). There is free parking off Renfrew Street opposite Pandora Street for visitors to the Sanctuary, or take the bus to Hastings and Renfrew Streets.
